Tricky Analogy II Answer (9/1)

a) New Mexico

Each of the states in the analogy begin and end with a state abbreviation that is not its own. Maryland begins with MA (Massachusetts) and ends with ND (North Dakota) : Connecticut begins with CO (Colorado) and ends with UT (Utah) :: Missouri begins with MI (Michigan) and ends with RI (Rhode Island) : New Mexico begins with NE (Nebraska) and ends with CO (Colorado).

c) Oklahoma is ruled out because none of the above states starts with its own abbreviation.

b) Maine is ruled out because an additional pattern is set up. The two states in Maryland do not border; then the two states in Connecticut do border. Again, the two states in Missouri do not border; then the two states in New Mexico do border.
